Tela

Tela was the first civilization on the island of Utlia. It was the first city-state on the island and began the Utlian City-State Era. Tela is also the name of people group that inhabited the western city-states of Utlia. The nation city of Tela was far more advanced than the rest of the island, even after the establishment of newer, larger city-states and eventually the Azztanist kingdoms they remained at the top of power, only being brought down after the unification of the Azztanist kingdoms and an intense military campaign against them.

History

Tela was formed sometime in 2750 TT, followed by the nearby Dirn and Lesyhan. Tela was the smallest but most powerful of the Utlian city-state.

Founding

Tela was founded by a group of nomadic tribals that lived in what is now the Capital Region, they eventually began to settle around the Lea River that flows through the region. The settlement quickly became the main and only civilization on Utlia. After the founding of the city in 2750 the council government split and had 3 groups in it, 2 of the groups left Tela to form the neighboring nations of Dirn and Lesyhan after a treaty signed by council head Lyeye Mros allowed them to form their own city states.

Tela was located in the western forests and west coast of Utlia

Government

Tela was ruled by a council of 12 Councillors with one council head who is the main figurehead.

Culture

Much of Telan art and culture is lost due to the Azztan Annexation, which saw the burning of many classical artifacts from the nation.

Telan religion revolved around pantheon of gods, all governing a specific aspect of the world, much of classic telan literature is based in stories of these gods actions, the pantheon is vast, with dozens of gods, relatives, folkloric creatures, realms and other divine entities inhabiting it. The most important, relevant and written about gods are known as Cebirisk (Major) and less relevant ones are known as Celscusk (Minor)
