Tomo Tower is an 83-story skyscraper located in the Natho district of Ishiq. Standing at 4.8 padoshi (275 meters), it is the tallest building in T'vaqi and possibly the Attu Archipelago, though this is subject to debate. Tomo Tower is primarily constructed from limestone and plated with copper. The building possesses 86 floors in total, three of which are underground. The majority of above-ground floors are used as office space for various companies. Construction began on 4-12 29 PC and was projected to finish by 34 PC; however, the nation's Calming, which occurred shortly after construction began, significantly slowed the tower's development as funds were reallocated to overseas exploration efforts. Construction was officially completed on 15-11 38 PC.
Notable occupants and floors
- Sub-floor 3, the lowest floor in the building, is connected via tunnel system to two other nearby skyscrapers.
- Live From Ishiq, a semi-improvised reality show broadcasted on the 1QAT radio station, is written, performed, and recorded entirely within the building. The recording studio and soundstage used to produce the show are present in sub-floor 2.
- The agriculture conglomerate Panqona possesses all offices on the third and fourth floors of the tower.
- Radio personality P'si Posi worked on floor 26 as a radio technician before his nationwide fame.
- Floors 50 through 55 are used as office space for Magisters present in the city.
- An office on floor 63 was previously occupied by Loqa Pili, who was a television marketing executive at the time.
- Floor 78 is the highest occupied floor in the building; higher floors are considered too small, and are mainly used for storage and tower maintenance.
- Floor 83, the highest floor in the building, is only accessible via elevator. Completely devoid of any furniture besides a single light fixture, its walls possess large glass windows that provide a full view of Ishiq. Floor 83 is only ever used for building tours.
- The roof is accessible through a ladder on the top floor. A small engraved plaque on the roof is dedicated to Lida Naposi, Tomo Tower's lead architect, who died in 36 PC before the building's completion.
