Early history
Around 1820 TT the Oken constructed Oksken Fortress on the top of a hill in what is now central Moss Vale. The original city of Oksken grew out of this fortress.
On 20-11, 587 TT the Leader of the Oken, Maerkar Oken established the official boundaries of Oksken along with the Oksken Governing Council.
Partition of Oksken
On 3-2 18 PC, Sarkist Assembly member Baneel Agokra started a pro-democratic Sarkist protest in Oksken on 3-2 18 PC, demanding an election for seats in the Oksken Governing Council. The protests didn't die down quickly leading the Oksken Governing Council to call a meeting on 11-2 to discuss a solution. The next day the Oksken Governing Council announced that they were to implement democratic elections in Oksken and to partition the city of Oksken. The city was split on 28-2 into Moss Vale comprising the Oksken Village, Port Naikar comprising the Naikar Port and surrounding land, Haratum comprising most of Oksken's old land area with Oksken being left with 47 disconnected plots of land best described as slums. The protests soon dissipated.
Government
Oksken is run by the Oksken Governing Council, with its six members being elected by the people of Oksken.
