Ardey
More actions
Ardey are members of the Azz'marin who act as local priests.
History
The name Ardey comes from a man named Ardaan Mwyelis who was an Azztan priest killed by a citizen of the Tela city-state in early 1699 TT. This prompted a war between the Frish Kingdom and Tela that ended in a draw. On 25-3 1695 The Azz'marin voted on names for the three classes of priests within the church, the Kiyr Commitee voted unanimously for Ardaan to be the namesake for the local priest designation.
Duties
Ardey usually run and manage shrines, small buildings in which people go to burn small effigies of crabs for Azzta. Usually these shrines are ran by one to two Ardey but in more urban areas such as Tinlea-Ut, Orena-Ut or Kelna-Ut the shrines are much larger and will usually have 5-8 dedicated Ardey to care for them.
