Brenji (Caseic pronunciation: [ˈbɹɛn.d͡ʒi]) is the largest and most populous city in Brenjia, Greater Utlia.
History
Pre-Calm History
The city of Brenji was founded as a fishing village around 1600 TT. The city became prosperous over the next centuries, and was thus taken over by the Chacya Kingdom. However, due to the Gastist-majority population at the time, the city became an unusually tolerant place within the Chacya Kingdom. While the chacya kingdom fell, the realm of Brenjia remained a prosperous city-state. Brenjia would later join the Greater Nayela Union, which would later join the Caseic Federation.
Occupation of the Port of Brenji
The Port of Brenji was briefly occupied by Framjist militants from 21-5 2 PC until 28-5 2 PC.
Caseic Blackout
On 19-4 10 PC, Framjist rebels destroyed radio towers in Brenji, Caifra, and Ibe-Jibin triggering the Caseic Blackout.
Destruction
Brenji was near-fully obliterated in the Battle of Brenji in 26 PC. It was rebuilt in the following decades. During this time, Brenjia became a protectorate of Utlia. In 41 PC, Brenjia became a province of Greater Utlia.
