86 PC Interim Magisterial Council
More actions
The 86 PC Interim Magisterial Council, usually referred to as the interim council, was a council of five democratically elected Magisters who filled the seat of one T'vaqi Grand Magister in the year 86 PC.
History
Formation
The interim council was assembled via democratic election in 86 PC. The concept had been proposed by Ronald Smith of Third Unification, who, along with party member Amho Sharamhash, had just retaken control of T'vaqi from dictator T'tathos Mhodir. Mhodir's regime had postponed democratic elections in the nation, so Smith designed the interim council to resume the democratic process and fill the vacant seat left by Mhodir. The council was meant to govern only for one year, after which a single member would be promoted to Grand Magister via democratic election, and the Grand Council would resume operating as usual.
Members
Five members were chosen for the interim council, to substitute the two votes afforded to a Grand Magister and the three votes of their Senior Magisters:
- Mgr. Dariq Hinos of the Bureau of Academic Affairs
- Mgr. Topana Qorrom of the Bureau of Press
- Mgr. Viso Nansani of the Bureau of Aqali Enforcement
- Mgr. Bruno Auch[a 1] of the Bureau of Metal
- Mgr. Mal'hod L'qash of the Substance Distribution Monitoring Agency
Dissolution
The interim council was dissolved in early 87 PC, after the promotion of Topana Qorrom to Grand Magister.
