Amho Sharamhash is a Grand Magister of T'vaqi.

Early life

Amho Sharamhash was born in Ishiq in 42 PC to two middle-class parents. His father and mother, an Officiant and an actuary respectively, raised him from birth to become part of the T'vaqi bureacracy. Sharamhash was gifted in mathematic analysis from a young age, though the schooling that his parents put him through thoroughly discouraged him from entering a related career. During his early childhood he took an interest in painting, which his parents did not support.

Born over a decade after the T'vaqi Calming, Sharamhash took the wider ocean's existence for granted through childhood, and never demonstrated much interest in it. This did not change when T'vaqi made official contact with the wider world in 53 PC, when Sharamhash was 11; by this time he was thoroughly convinced he would grow up to become a portrait artist, and was unconcerned with international affairs. He took the CC Exam and received a Cognitive Capacity Score of 35, subsequently enrolling in the High Institute of the Arts, where he specialized his studies in Emotional Influence in Media.

Political career and rule

Sharamhash first took an interest in domestic politics at the age of 21 in 63 PC, the year Piqo Thipoqo was elected Grand Magister. He strongly agreed with the Amiqa Platform, Thipoqo's political party, on most domestic issues, and sought to become a representative for the platform. He graduated from the High Institute of the Arts later that year, immediately vying for a promotion to Magister. He was promoted to Officiant only a year after graduation, and High Priest two years after that. He earned an income through part-time bureaucratic work. In 68 PC at the age of 25, Sharamhash was to be promoted to Magister, but did not end up receiving the promotion until 70 PC due to complications with the Tricade War.

After his promotion to Magister, Sharamhash was able to become an official representative for the Amiqa Platform. He gradually gained more interest in international affairs as time went on, developing a pseudo-Laborist personal ideology. He was made Senior Magister by Gmr. Thipoqo in 76 PC at the age of 34, in an effort by the latter to gain support with youth by promoting a younger politician.

In 83 PC, Sharamhash officially announced that he had adopted Laborism as his chief ideology. This brought him into a political rivalry with conservative Senior Magister Ronald Smith, who denounced this change. As Gmr. Thipoqo grew increasingly unpopular with the T'vaqi populace, Sharamhash and Smith's political rivalry became a race to campaign for the soon-to-be-vacant seat. Although Sharamhash's public perception was damaged by the negative reputation of Laborism, his charisma made him a popular candidate.

In 84 PC, after the broadcast incident resulting in the demotions of Grand Magisters Havo T'l and Piqo Thipoqo, the two vacant seats were expected to be filled by Sharamhash and Smith. However, remaining Grand Magister T'tathos Mhodir seized power after the incident, becoming the island's sole dictator. Sharamhash and Smith recognized that Mhodir's regime could not be ousted if they continued to compete, and formed a political alliance called Third Unification. Through 84 and 85 PC, Third Unification staged several protests against Mhodir's dictatorship, with support from the Council of Elders, Isola, and Ducissa Iolanda Marpecci. After one protest staged outside Grand Council Hall, Sharamhash was hit with a chemical bomb, and was affected by the resulting sickness for weeks; this did not discourage his efforts.

After repeated protests with varying degrees of success, Sharamhash began publicly insinuating that Mhodir needed to be overthrown by force. In early 86 PC, an insurrection swarmed Grand Council Hall, with members of the public (some armed with improvised explosives) entering the building. At the time of the event's conclusion, Mhodir was discovered to have disappeared entirely from T'vaqi. In his absence, Sharamhash and Smith assumed control of the Grand Council, and began elections for the 86 PC Interim Magisterial Council.
