Background

The Deram and Mikare withdrew from Mida on 30-10 17 PC as a ploy to defeat the invading Arkara and Kakay Armies leading to the city's capture by the Arkara and Kakay. The Deram and Mikare then began a retreat up Fanachar's Pass towards Dokraim with the Arkara and Kakay forces in pursuit. On 19-1 18 PC, several hundred explosives planted by the Deram went off in the mountains above the part of the pass the Arkara and Kakay Armies were travelling through. The subsequent mountain collapse killed around a third of the Arkara and Kakay armies and caused their formations to disintegrate into chaos whilst the Deram and Mikare began their counter-advance.

Battle

The long skirmish

The armies of the Deram and Mikare reached Mida on 5-4 18 PC and, under Deram leadership, began a prolonged skirmish against Arkara-occupied Mida.

Capture

On 10-11, a small force that the Deram had secretly left behind in Mida opened the back gates of the city allowing the Deram Army to enter the city. The Arkara withdrew from the city as soon as the breach became known as despite the long skirmish had not prepared for a full on attack.
