History

Early history

Little is known about the early history of the Bojin.

Conflict with the Akarinian Confederation

During Aket's reign as Leader of the Akarinian Confederation, the Bojin, along with the Dakon, Ikane, Skrake and Uvuk, created the Saekarinian Confederation to oppose the Akarinian Confederation as they saw the Akarinian's religion, Mirroi, as a threat to traditional Karinian beliefs.

On 7-2 1720 TT, the Saekarinians, led by the Uvuk attacked the Kakay starting the Saekarinian War with the Akarinian Confederation.

By mid-1720 TT it was unclear who would win the war. On 16-8 1720 TT Leader of the Akarinian Confederation Gotiph, declared that any drike of the Saekarinian Confederation that embraced Mirroi was welcome to join the Akarinian Confederation. On 29-8 1720 TT the Ikane joined the Akarinian Confederation and by the start of 1719 TT both the Dakon and the Skrake had joined the Akarinians, leaving only the Bojin and the Uvuk in the Saekarinian Confederation.

At some point in mid-1716 TT Gotiph made an agreement with Comkate of the Bojin that would allow them to win the war. On 22-11 1716 TT the Bojin executed the leadership of the Uvuk at a meeting between the two groups, on the same day Gotiph declared the war over.

Joining the Akarinian Confederation

The Bojin joined the Akarinian Confederation on 5-9 1623 TT.

Bojin-Dakon Border Crisis

Around 1150 TT, demand for sukazandassaz fruit in the Weer Kadrike skyrocketed. The Bojin Kadrike, which had vast orchards of sukazandassaz, soon began exporting large amounts of the fruit to the Weer. The primary road connecting Gaviskar to the Weer Kadrike passed through the Dakon Kadrike. On 4-12, 1148 TT, the Dakon placed a transit fee on any trader moving through their land transporting sukazandassaz fruit. The Bojin responded to this on 16-12 1148 TT by placing a ten percent tax on all goods and services purchased by members of the Dakon. Four days later, the Dakon closed their border with the Bojin.

Living King, Targhan Skrake met with Chokdai, Leader of the Bojin, on 3-8 1138 TT to discuss forcing the border open to bring an end to the crisis. Targhan had no intent to order the border open and instead proposed the creation of a new road between Gaviskar and Saeskar. By the end of the meeting, it was agreed that the Bojin and the Skrake would cofinance the creation of the new Gaviskar-Saeskar Highway and that Targhan would use his powers as Living King to keep the road open. Work on the highway began on 12-8 1138 TT. At the same time, Targhan issued his 9th Dictate. The dictate established the Warden of Roads that was to manage the new highway once it was completed. The dictate also specified that any roads under the control of the Warden of Roads could only be closed down by the Living King. Targhan's 10th Dictate, issued on 26-12 1136 TT put the newly completed Gaviskar-Saeskar Highway under the control of the Warden of Roads.
