Harakar's 15th Dictate

Harakar's 15th Dictate was a living dictate issued on 15-8 18 PC by Living King Harakar Oken which declared Sarkism to be an afront to Mirroi and making Sarkism illegal throughout the Kingdom of Akaria..

Background

On 9-12 12 PC, the Akarian author, Sarkay Obat published a book advocating for the abolition of the osslettes and the purging of the Thessda Range of all Andu. The book also claimed that the Andu, Sorewa and Tun'ilhameng were all a part of a singular race and that everyone else was a part of another, superior race. The book was sold across the Eastern Bloc. Though not an outright hit, the book developed a cult following. Sarkay published a second book on 10-10 15 PC. The book claimed that Akaria's policies regarding foreigners and the spread of information were holding back the unifying power of the Eastern Block and called for the end of censorship through Harakar's 7th Dictate and the abolishing of the foreign zones established by Harakar's 6th Dictate. This book also gained a notable audience. On 27-10 15 PC, riots kicked off across Akaria with the rioters demanding the abolision of Harakar's 6th and 7th Dictates. It was during the riots that the terms "Sarkism" and "Sarkist" were first defined. On 25-11 15 PC, Living King, Harakar Oken issued his 11th Dictate, which suspended his 6th and 7th Dictates.

On 7-8 18 PC Sarkay announced the creation of the Sarkist State and claimed for his new nation an island in an Eastern Ocean which had been occupied by his follower, Ratok Omiph since 4-8 17 PC. He then began advocating for his followers to move to the island. Harakar decided to deal with the Sarkists and issued his 15th Dictate on 15-8 18 PC to try and stop the movement.

The dictate declared Sarkism to be an affront to Mirroi and made claiming to be a Sarkist or holding Sarkist views to be punishable under living law.
