Biography
Early life
Ratok Omiph was born on 12-1 16 TT as Ratok Sanchak. Like all members of the Sanchak in Oksken, Ratok grew up in poverty. In early 1 PC Ratok and many others were hired to begin building Naikar Port, which began on 27-3 and ended on 14-12. After the port was done Ratok was hired to work at the port. Raok gradually rose through the ranks at the port and eventually became a somewhat important submanager. On 10-2 9 PC, as a reward for his service, Leader of the Oken, Johnakar Oken, split Ratok and some of his immediate family off from the Samchak into a new drike called the Omiph. Despite his newfound position of power, Ratok loathed the Oken for his prior poverty.
Sarkist
On 9-12 12 PC Akarian author, Sarkay Obat published a book advocating for the abolition of the osslettes and the purging of the Thessda Range of all Andu. Ratok did not care for the book's thesis but appreciated that it was critical of modern Akarian society. Sarkay published a second book on 10-10 15 PC, which advocated for reform of Akaria's foreign policy. Once again, Ratok was uninterested in the book's thesis but appreciated that it was critical of Akaria's current government. Despite his lack of support for Sarkist ideals, Ratok attended Sarkay's conference of intellectuals on 2-1 16 PC. At said conference, Ratok became convinced that Sarkay's idea that there were only really two ethnic groups and that the cultures of the world keep the superior one divided should be applied to the Oken. On 12-5 16 PC, Sarkay made Omiph a member of his newly created Sarkist Assembly.
On 21-7 17 PC the Confederated Nations of Niueyjar discovered the primitive Dwarf Island in the Eastern Ocean. Ratok believed that these people could be swayed to join the Sarkist cause and departed on 30-7 for the island. His ship sunk en route for the island on 4-8, leaving him and most of his crew stranded on an unnamed grassy island. Ratok was first reported alive to the outside world on 12-9 17 PC. Sarkay Obat attempted to send a rescue mission but the ship sent ended up wrecking itself on the same island on 22-9.
Sarkay Obat declared the creation of the Sarkist State on 7-8 18 PC and made the Sarkist Assembly the government of the new state. Sarkay claimed the island Ratok was on for the state and gave it the name "Paradise". Sarkay then began promoting moving to the island to his followers.
