History

Creation

The Mikare were brought into the Akarinian Confederation on 16-1 1419 TT through Dakarkon's 1st Dictate and were based out of the city of Mida. The city, and the land around the city which had been taken by the Confederation during Goghon's War was informally known as the Mikare Kadrike.

On 18-2, 1197 TT Living King, Matart Kakay issued his 104th Dictate defining the borders of all Kadrikes including the Mikare Kadrike. This was done with the consent of the Leaders of all 15 Kadrikes.

Akarian Civil War

The Mikare Kadrike was the site of the first battle of the Akarian Civil War – the Bombardment of Mida. The battle began on 17-9 16 PC when the Arkara began bombarding the city of Mida to avoid a proper seige and street to street fighting. The Deram and Mikare Armies began to withdraw from Mida towards Dokraim on 3-10 17 PC as part of a ploy to defeat the invaders. After their withdrawl the Arkara Army took the city.

The armies of the Deram and Mikare returned to Mida on 5-4 18 PC and, under Deram leadership, began a prolonged skirmish against Arkara-occupied Mida. On 10-11, a small force that the Deram had secretly left behind in Mida opened the back gates of the city allowing the Deram Army to enter the city. The Arkara withdrew from the city as soon as the breach became known.

Settlements

Mida

Mida is the only prominant city in the Mikare Kadrike and is one of the largest in Akaria. The city was built by the Andu Kur in 1769 TT in the southern region of the largest of the passes leading between the Karin Plain to the Thessda Range. Mida was built as one of several "wall cities" made to serve as living-fortresses, with Mida specifically made to protect the Andu Kur from potential Karinian aggression. The city is the only wall cities that remains functional as a fortification.
