Naqa's Packaged Laughs (often abbreviated as Naqa's) is a Thono-based company that primarily distributes gag gifts, children's toys, and other novelty items, often with a humorous or political theming. The company gained notoriety for its appeal towards patriotic T'vaqi citizens, selling items that disparage or mock other islands in the Attu Archipelago.
History
Naqa's Packaged Laughs was founded in 64 PC. The identity of the company's founder (also presumed to be its Main Executive) is entirely unknown, though qualified experts suggest that they are most likely T'vaqi in ethnicity, and especially unlikely to be of Okriti descent. During the first two years of the company's operation, its most successful product was a modified T'vaqi translation of Championing the Faith: A Foal's Errand, the biography of Chuckster Lagrange.
The company saw a massive rise in sales immediately after the beginning of the Tricade War in 66 PC. The calculated distribution of Rossan and Kalami flags with their central symbols replaced with an eight-pointed star motif proved successful; Naqa's would continue its business model of appealing to patriotic fervor as the war progressed. The company would experience a steady decline and subsequent plateau in sales after the end of the conflict.
Products
Many products sold by Naqa's Packaged Laughs are aimed at young audiences. These products include Wacky Ink[1] and small copper balls painted various colors, advertised as collectibles. The company also sells copies of foreign and domestic literature edited to include crude jokes at the expense of the original author. All products distributed by Naqa's Packaged Laughs are innovations of the company's own design, and similarities to any pre-existing merchandise are coincidental.
The current most popular item sold by the company is the Attu Omva (stylized OMVA! ATTU), a set of toy dice used to play a modified game of Omva. The rules for the game remain the same except for the addition of the six-sided Attu die, which is rolled alongside the standard Omva die. Each face of the Attu die is marked with the flag of an island in the Attu Archipelago. When the Attu die is thrown, players must attempt an accent belonging to a denizen of the island rolled.
