Syneri are the most populous species of pinniped on the island of Utlia.
Description
Syneri are medium sized with spindle shaped bodies to help navigate waterways. They are most commonly brown colored.
Range and habitat
They live across the west coast of Utlia but are most prominent near the capital region. Syneri are known for traveling up river to find food.

Syneri mainly eat crabs.
Social behavior
They are a socially active species, with large gatherings of syneri being a common sight in western Utlia.
In culture
Syneri are often used to symbolize Utlian culture, commonly when comparing to Merriyem, who are almost always portrayed with a Grylbo, the second most populous pinniped in Utlia.
Syneri meat became a symbol of working class fishermen during the Aremt dynasty.
