This is where Mal met future president Yyme and his future Head Advisor Votan, with the latter later radicalizing Mal into anti monarchy beliefs.

Leading up to the Utlian Civil War, Votan convinced Mal to help him strategize and eventually fight in the war. Before the battles and fighting of the war kicked off, Mals career was mainly focused around the small villages in the capital region of Utlia, where he would spread propaganda and build rapport and a figure in the resistance movement. When the true civil war broke out, Mal fought in the battle of Kelna-Ut and the final siege on the palace of Tinlea-Ut.
