The Purification of Able was the mass killing of Deram and Deram-affiliated people in the Deram Kadrike in late 564 TT and early 563 TT. It was conducted by the Arkara, Dakon, Ikane, Kakay, and Skrake Armies.
Background
On 21-8, 594 TT Living King Arikarin Deram used the Living Army to remove the Ossbosche of East Able, Amarkil Arkara, from his position. The Arkara, with the support of their Kadrike allies, then waged the Able War against Arikarin. Arikarin was killed at the end of the war on 26-2 591 TT. Afterwards, Akaria was ruled by the Arkara-led 2nd Agrada Perikat.
On 25-8 564 TT, Bolakh Deram, son of Arikarin Deram, killed Living King Gonchidor Ikane to avenge his father. Shortly after, Ochi Skrake was elected Living King and requested the Deram to hand over Bolakh Deram to be tried for his crimes. Leader of the Deram, Fanachar Deram, declined, claiming that no law was broken under Deram Law. Ochi tried to send the Enforcers of Living Law (ELL) to arrest Bolakh, but the Ossbosche of West Able, who commanded the ELL, Hamalan Deram, refused to follow the order. In response, Ochi issued his 1st Dictate on 30-11 564 TT, dissolving the ELL.
Massacre
The 2nd Agrada Perikat was not happy with Bolakh and on 4-12 564 TT the armies of the Arkara, Dakon, Ikane, Kakay, and Skrake entered the Deram Kadrike with the stated intent of arresting Bolakh. Once in the Deram Kadrike the armies began killing any Deram and Deram-affiliated person they could find. The Deram Army could not defend against the invading forces and instead focused their effort on evacuating Deram personnel in Durantum to the outpost of Dokraim in the Thessda Range. Among those evacuated were Bolakh and Fanachar.
The massacre continued intermittently into early 563 TT.
Aftermath
The Arkara, Dakon, Ikane, Kakay and Skrake continued to occupy the Deram Kadrike until 20-9 536 TT when Living King Ochi Skrake formally dissolved by the Deram Kadrike and established the Arkara Kadrike in its place.
The Deram established Dokraim as their informal capital. On 5-10 564 TT they established the Council of Restoration with the goal of one day returning to the Karin Plain and Durantum.
