2nd Agrada Perikat

The 2nd Agrada Perikat was the coalition that backed the Living King during the reigns of Makaro Arkara, Gonchidor Ikane, Ochi Skrake and Oirula Dakon and overall lasted from 591 TT to 460 TT.

Usage of the term

The term "2nd Agrada Perikat" along with all other preceding perikats was first used in A history of the Living Kings by Living King Makaro Arkara, published on 24-8 580 TT.

Living Kings of the 2nd Agrada Perikat

Makaro Arkara was the first Living King of the 2nd Agrada Perikat and the first Living King from the Arkara. He had led the Anti-Durantum League during the Able War (594–591 TT) and was in part responsible for the issuing of Arikarin's 714th Dictate and Arikarin's 715th Dictate in the dead hand. The 714th Dictate recognised the Arkara as a Kadrike and the 715th established the Ossbosche Assembly and formalised the Council of Akaria. He was elected Living King on 28-4 591 TT. During his reign he wrote A history of the Living Kings which defined a several common terms used in Akarian histography.. He died on 15-8 579 TT.

Living King Gonchidor Ikane had lead the Ikane Army during the Able War and was elected Living King on 24-9 579 TT. He was killed by Bolakh Deram on 25-8 564 TT who saw Gonchidor as partly responsible for his father, Living King Arikarin Deram's death at the end of the Able War.

Ochi Skrake was elected Living King on 16-9 564 TT. Shortly after his election, Ochi asked the Deram to hand over Bolakh Deram to be tried for his crimes. The Leader of the Deram, Fanachar Deram refused to hand Bolakh over claiming that no crime had been commited. Ochi tried to send the Enforcers of Living Law (ELL) to arrest Bolakh, though the Ossbosche of West Able who commanded the ELL, Hamalan Deram refused to follow the order. In response, Ochi issued his 1st Dictate on 30-11 564 TT dissolving the ELL. After this the armies of the Arkara, Dakon, Ikane, Kakay and Skrake entered and occupied the Deram Kadrike and began massacring members of the Deram and people affiliated with the Deram in what is now known as as the Purification of Able. Ochi dissolved the Deram Kadrike on 20-9 536 TT via his 20th Dictate and established the Arkara Kadrike in its place. He died on 20-11 500 TT.

Oirula Dakon was elected on 10-12 500 TT. In 467 TT the Oceanic Council announced that the majority of their iron mines had begun to deplete and were expected to be completely out of iron within the next decade. Oirula attempted to find now iron deposits but was unsuccessful. In 502 TT Leader of the Lakar, Vichatoi Lakar asked Oirula to make an agreement between the Kingdom of Akaria and the Deram, who lived in the iron-rich Thessda Range. Oirula rejected this proposal on the grounds that the ruling 2nd Agrada Perikat was not on good terms with the Deram. Oirula died on 19-7 460 TT.

End

The 2nd Agrada Perikat's refusul to make a deal with the Deram led to the start of the 1st Lasken Perikat on 16-8 460 TT with the election of Klaichandoi Lakar. Though this was only acchieved by the Arkara's ossbosches unexpectedly supporting Klaichandoi in the election.

Akaria at the time

The 2nd Agrada Perikat saw the rise in the political power of the ossbosches as well as that of the Arkara.

The Living Press began producing much more vile anti-Deram propoganda following the killing Gonchidor Ikane. This lead to the eventual demonisation of the Deram across much of the Karin Plain.
