Port Calmness Theory is a thalassological theory which posits that the calmness of a body of water is dependent on the number of ports therein. In the Caseic Archipelago, this theory was used as an explanation for why the Brisa Strait and rivers throughout Casea were calm bodies of water while the seas were not calm before the Grand Calming. Port Calmness Theory is believed to be pseudoscientific by most credible sources.
Notable Applications
- In 230 TT, Jecomfi Iri-Jili established the district of Portside in Brenji, believing that building ports would cause the seas to calm.
