Life

Baktako Deram was born in 115 TT to Paktok and Bamiloi Deram.

Upon the death of Baktako's materal grandfather, Leader of the Deram Aturak Deram on 12-12 88 TT, Baktako was made Leader of the Deram, due to being Aturak's eldest male descendant.

In 72 TT, Arkerus Perat, son of Living King Khobak Perat, fled the Perat Kadrike to the mining settlement of Dakota where he reported himself to the authorities there. He was brought to the Deram's capital Dokraim and met with Baktako. Baktako found the idea of a son of the Living King fleeing to the Deram Kadrike entertaining and understood there were potential political benefits to this. He promised Arkerus that he would have his protection within the Deram Kadrike and set aside a home for him in the city. Though Arkerus rarely spoke with Baktako, he would go on to become a close ally of the Deram, and marry his cousin Akan Deram.

After their first meeting, Baktako had begun researching Perat Law and found that duels for leadership based on the right of blood had been banned, save for those brought on by a child of a Living King against someone who was not the child of a Living King. Following the death of Alandok Perat, Leader of the Perat, Baktako and Akan talked Arkerus into leaving for Perisken to dispute the Perat leadership. Arkerus agreed, and he and Baktako organized and carried out a plan that ended with Arkerus defeating Anotok Perat and becoming Leader of the Perat.

Death

Baktako died on 5-11 35 TT, and was succeded as Leader of the Deram by his nephew Bok Deram.
