Banokan
The Banokan are one of the Kadrikes of Akaria.
History
Origin and war with the Andu Kur
On 3-7 1792 TT, Kadar, who was gathering allies to defend against the Andu Kur met with the Oken to request their aid, who had previously ruled over the Okenarian Confederation which had been torn apart by the Andu during their 1800 TT invation to request his aid. Amoka, Leader of the Oken denied Kadar's request claiming that if they were to go to war with the Andu so soon after their last defeat to them they'd be wiped out. Amoka's son Chalatun supported and made allies with Kadar, bringing with him many of the Oken's warriors who wanted revenge against the Andu. Amoka expelled Chalatun who founded the Banokan to counteract this.
The Andu Kur launched an invasion against Kadar's forces on 26-4 1791 TT.
On 11-7, 1787 TT Kadar's forces routed what was left of the Andu Kur and captured the Andu city of Kanda. Kadar and the leaders of his allies remained at the ruins of the city for ten days. On that tenth day when no Andu forces arrived, they declared the war over and began discussing what to do next. Three days after Kadar and his allies established the Akarinian Confederation with Kadar as its first leader. From that point on the Banokan were a member of the Akarinian Confederation.
1st Lasken Perikat
The Banokan were part of the 1st Lasken Perikat which lasted from 16-8 460 TT to 22-1 143 TT and was seen as an Akarian golden age. The Banokan fielded three Living Kings during this time; Horkoch Banokan, Muchei Banokan and Chogot Banokan.
False War
On 9-12 10 TT, Tyshok Perat released the Tyshok Report, revealing that members of the Arkara had been responsible for the deaths of many high-profile people across the Karin Plain. Living King, Bantar Arkara's refusal to condemn those named led to the False War. The Banokan, like most other Kadrikes, "fought" against the Arkara during the war. The False War ended on 14-7 4 TT with Bantar Arkara's assassination.
Bantar's death triggered the 43rd Living Election. During the False War the Perat had led the opposition to the Arkara and the Banokan supported that position. The Perat and Banokan assumed that that would translate into the Perat's candidate – Eltok Perat – being elected Living King and the establishment of a new perikat which the Banokan would be a member of. However, the ossbosches who were unaffiliated with either side in the conflict argued that they could not elect a candidate from the anti-Arkara side as one of them was likely responsible for the death of Bantar, leading to the unaffiliated Harakar Oken being elected Living King on 30-10 2 TT.
Akarian Civil War
The Perat persuaded the Banokan to support the Arkara during the Akarian Civil War (16–19 PC).
