Name
The False War was named as such because no troop movements took place, instead, the war was fought with assassins.
Background
On 25-12 51 TT Living King Khobak Perat and Eilok Arkara established an assassin network called Eilok's Drodal designed to assassinate the "enemies of Akaria". As time went on the membership of Eilok's Drodal became dominated by the Arkara. Tyshok Perat published a document on 9-12 10 TT containing evidence linking several members of the Arkara to several high-profile assassinations, including the brother of Living King Bantar Arkara, Kamakta Arkara. Bantar refused to condemn any of those named in the report. The False War is considered to have started with the document's publication.
False War
At the start of the war, almost all of the Arkara's allies abandoned them, leaving them with only the Kakay and the Ikane. The Perat, who had previously been the Arkara's allies, quickly cemented themselves as the de facto head of the anti-Arkara faction.
The majority of the leaders of the Kadrike armies were killed early in the war, dissuading the use of troops during the conflict.
The war ended on 13-7 4 TT when Living King Bantar Arkara was assassinated, triggering the 43rd Living Election. No one claimed responsibility for his death and no one could be tied to it.
Aftermath
Many believed that the Perat candidate – Eltok Perat – would be elected Living King, due to the strong dislike of the Arkara in Akarian society and the Perat's leadership role during the war. However, the ossbosches who were unaffiliated with either side in the conflict argued that they could not elect a candidate from the anti-Arkara side as one of them was likely responsible for the death of Bantar, leading to the unaffiliated Harakar Oken being elected Living King on 30-10 2 TT. Many of the Perat's allies were unhappy with this outcome.
