Framaja-Nayela is the federal capital of the Greater Nayela Union, located on the border between West Nayela and East Nayela. It is the largest city in the Caseic Archipelago.

History

Founding

The city was founded on the Nayela River around 3100 TT, and was originally named "Nayela".

Nayela Republic

The city eventually grew in influence, and became the centre of a political entity known as the Nayela Republic, which lasted for nearly a century. The republic ended after a theocratic revolt in (Caseic Calendar: A653) lead to the creation of the Second Empire of Framja, which lead to the city's renaming to "Framaja-Nayela".

Second Empire of Framja

As part of the Second Empire of Framja, the city became a centre of the Framjist religion, and remains so to this day. The Second Empire of Framja lasted until (Caseic Calendar: C426). After the fall of the Second Empire of Framja, the city became the capital of the First Nayela Union.

First Nayela Union

The First Nayela Union was a political entity which lasted from (C426) to (C428). It was conquered from the east by the Chacya Kingdom in less than ten days.

Chacya Kingdom

Framaja-Nayela was governed by the Chacya Kingdom (whose capital was Grichi) from (C428) until the kingdom collapsed in (282).

Second Nayela Union

After the collapse of the Chacya Kingdom, Framaja-Nayela maintained its influence as a large city in the Nayela Plains, and became the capital of the Second Nayela Union.

Greater Nayela Union

In (469), Abayea, Brenjia, Bainachia, and the Second Nayela Union agreed to unite, forming the Greater Nayela Union. The former Second Nayela Union was divided into West Nayela and East Nayela due to concerns that the former Second Nayela Union would be too powerful, and that having four constituent countries in the union would lead to tied votes. This division was along the Nayela River, which would have split the city into West Framaja-Nayela and East Framaja Nayela. To prevent the obvious turmoil that this would cause, the city was given an autonomous municipal government which reports to all five leaders of the G.N.U.

In (471), the Nayela Unity Palace was constructed in Framaja-Nayela. This palace is where the five leaders of the G.N.U. meet.

Caseic Federation

The G.N.U. joined the Caseic Federation in (521).

Independence

The G.N.U. became independent of the Caseic Federation as a result of the First Great Attu War.
