Meret

Meret is the name of the primary realm of the Telan pantheon. In the Telan religious mythology, it has been inhabited by the Meretis gods since Bunersket created the universe, the individual gods who have inhabited the region have changed since then however.

Mythology

Meret was created by Bunersket shortly after he created the universe and Utlia, he placed Meret in the western forests of Utlia, near what would eventually become Tela land. To prevent mortal interference with the Arwa realms he placed a seal on the entrance to Meret, this has not fully stopped all contact between mortals and Arwa, namely the meretis god Sekereye accidentally broke the seal.

Geography

According to the Kuarwa, all realms of the pantheon adjacent to Meret, such as swampy Kausk or the icy mountains of Leferej are connected via landbridges that go over the Chasms of Bunersket, formed by Bunersket to keep Meret easy to defend. Meret itself is said to be higher up in elevation than any other realm or region in the greater Arwa region.

Meret is adjacent roughly to the realms of Kausk to the west, Leferej to the south, Hew to the east, and Lamret to the north.

Inhabitants

The Meretis gods are the most prevalent gods or deities of the pantheon. They act as guardians of Meret itself.
