Living King, Harakar Oken was killed on 29-12 19 PC, when the Giga-Yacht exploded whilst en route to eee.

On 12-3 18 PC the Arkara, under the leadership of Artak Arkara released a document containing evidence that Harakar's late father, Johnakar Oken had ordered the deaths of several notable figures across the Attu Archipelago including Kamakta Arkara and Vidar Astridson. A day later Arkara-affiliated protestors took to the streets of Ablesken demanding an explanation for the killing of Kamakta Arkara. At the same time the CNN Federal Court put their ongoing corruption investigation and trials on hold to allow the Council of Directors of the Confederated Nations of Niueyjar (CODCNN) to hold an emergency meeting relating to the report. Harakar ordered the Akarian Navy back to Akaria and ordered the full mobilisation of the Living Army. Shortly after making his order Harakar departed Ablsken for Fort Garikoph on Kadar's Rock in secret. The next day the Weer Chronicle reported that Harakar was neither at his palace in Moss Vale nor at the Tumak Ordok in Ablesken.

The CNN attacked Kadar's Rock on 16-12 19 PC, forcing Harakar back to the Karin Plain. When Artak learned of this he had the forces of the Arkara and their allies begin to move towards Oksken. In response Harakar's allies enganged the Arkara's allied forces at the Battle of the Banokan Kadrike. Harakar announced Operation Rock Storm on 25-12 and set off to Haute eee, which at the time was being invaded by the CNN, in the Giga-Yacht, leading a large force of eee-made barges and fishing vessels carrying Living Army personnel. The Karinian Star accused Harakar of using Operation Rock Storm as an excuse to flee Akaria. Harakar's allies in Akaria shattered the Arkara-led forces on 28-12 and began a march towards Agrada. The next day the Giga-Yacht exploded, killing Harakar and ending the Akarian Civil War.

Revision as of 03:32, 21 August 2024

The 44th Living Election was conducted between 29-12 19 PC and 20 PC.

Background

When Harakar Oken was elected Living King on 30-10 2 TT the title of Living King was mostly ceremonial, with real power in Akaria being vested in the Kadrikes, Ossbosches and pre-existing instituations. Following the Grand Calming, Harakar issued a series of dictates which granted the Living King almost complete control of foreign affairs.

In 16 PC a war broke out between Harakar's allies, the Deram and the Arkara. As more Kadrikes entered the war it came to be known as the Akarian Civil War.

Election

Many in the Ossbsoche assembly veiwed Harakar as an unfit Living King and saw the Arkara, who had branded themselves as Harakar's chief rivals, as the obvious replacement. The Arkara's candidate, who was Leader of the Arkara, Artak Arkara, was elected in 20 PC.
