Biography

Early life

Artak was born in Agrada on 15-4 55 TT to Kamakta Arkara and his wife Amailide. At the age of four his grandfather, the Ossbosche of Grada Herkaz Arkara sent Artak to the city of Saeskar to be raised by relatives there. Artak was educated at the Skrake Brown and Green School from 44 TT until his graduation as bosche in 34 TT. On 7-2 31 TT the Ossbosche of Saekraim Temurak Skrake put Artak in control of a shrine to Gotiph as an udenbosche.

Udenbosche

On 25-3 23 TT Artak was reassigned to being the Udenbosche of Resources at his own request.

Kamakta Arkar joined Eilok's Drodal in or prior to 22 TT. On 11-5 22 TT a small crate of fertiliser, for use by Eilok's Drodal arrived at the Skrasken Ordok. Bosche Tyshok Perat asked what it was for and Artak lied and told him that it was to be given to the Sotai family, whose last shipment had been slightly lacking.

The Ossbosche of Saekraim, Huzok Skrake died on 18-6 11 TT from, what was ruled at the time to be a heart attack. Artak Arkara was elected to replace him on 25-6 11 TT.

Ossbosche

On 9-12 10 TT, Tyshok Perat released the Tyshok Report, revealing some of the actions of Eilok's Drodal and providing evidence towards those who members of the Arkara had assassinated. Among those linked to this was Huzok Skrake. These revelations began the False War. During the False War, many ossbosches, udenbosches and members of the Kadrikes were assassinated or driven into hiding. Artak, however, continued to publicly serve as the Ossbosche of Saekraim, personally surviving over a dozen assassination attempts. On 13-7 4 TT, Artak's uncle, Living King, Bantar Arkara was assassinated. Artak left for Ablesken to elect his successor and remained in the capital until 30-10 2 TT when Harakar Oken was named Living King.

As the years went by, public opinion of the Arkara continued to deteriorate. On 4-2 3 PC, Harakar Oken issued Harakar's 10th Dictate, which barred members of the Arkara from serving as ossbosches. Artak refused to recognize the dictate and did not step down. Three days later, a group of soldiers sent by the Ossbosche Assembly arrived at the Skrasken Ordok to forcibly remove Artak from his position. Artak's guards killed three of them before they retreated. The next day, Artak's father and Leader of the Arkara, Kamakta Arkara, declared the Arkara's defiance to the dictate, beginning the Arkara Uprising of 3 PC. The Living Army was sent to capture Arkara-held ossletes in the Arkara Kadrike and the Skrake Army was sent to capture Saekraim. The Skrake Army quickly captured most of Saeskar but Artak and a group of his forces managed to hold out in the Skrasken Ordok. Peace was achieved on 24-3 3 PC, when Kamakta recognised the dictate in exchange for total amnesty for the uprising. Artak stepped down as the Ossbosche of Saekraim later that day.

9 PC Arakra elections

Kamakta was found dead in the Saeskar River on 30-7 9 PC. Artak Arkara was elected Leader of the Arkara on 26-8 9 PC.

Karinians in mines

On 10-10 10 PC, Harakar's sister and High Director of the Dakota Mine, Harlain Oken was shot and killed. Soon after it became apparent that the Dakota mine was using hired Karinians as labour in the mine, which went against Karinain tradition. Two days after her death Artak voiced his support of her killing.

Sarkist Riots

On 10-10 15 PC, exiled Akarian political writer Sarkay Obat published a book that called for the end of censorship through Harakar's 7th Dictate and the abolishment of the foreign zones established by Harakar's 6th Dictate. On 27-10 15 PC, Sarkist riots kicked off across Akaria with the rioters demanding the abolision of Harakar's 6th and 7th Dictates. On 25-11 15 PC, Harakar issued his 11th Dictate, which suspended his 6th and 7th Dictates and put border control under the authority of the individual Kadrikes.

During his 16 PC String Day speech Artak criticized Harakar's actions over the past year and called him a coward for submitting to the rioter's demands.

Akarian Civil War

On 6-1 16 PC, the Deram purchased modern mining equipment from Niueyjar with the intent of phasing out slave labour and replacing it with paid labour using modern industrialised mining techniques. Artak responded on 13-1 16 PC by mobilising the Arkara Army and sending them up Fanachar's Pass with the intent of taking the Deram capital, Dokraim. The pass went through the Mikare Kadrike, bringing the Mikare – who were allied with the Deram– into the war. The Arkara's ally, the Kakay, joined the Arkara in their invasion on 24-5. On 19-1 18 PC, Several hundred explosives planted by the Deram went off in the mountains above the valley that the Arkara and Kakay armies were travelling through as they were approaching Dokraim. The subsequent mountain collapse killed around a third of the Arkara and Kakay armies and caused their formations to disintegrate into chaos whilst the Deram and Mikare began their counter-advance.

On 12-3 18 PC Artak had the Arkara release a document containing evidence that Johnakar Oken had ordered the deaths of several notable figures across the Attu Archipelago including Kamakta Arkara and Vidar Astridson. A day later Arkara-affiliated protestors took to the streets of Ablesken demanding an explanation for the killing of Kamakta Arkara. At the same time the CNN Federal Court put their ongoing corruption investigation and trials on hold to allow the Council of Directors of the Confederated Nations of Niueyjar (CODCNN) to hold an emergency meeting relating to the report (which would lead to the Eastern Bloc-Niueyjar War). Harakar ordered the Akarian Navy back to Akaria and ordered the full mobilisation of the Living Army. Shortly after making his order Harakar departed Ablsken for Fort Garikoph in secret. The next day the Weer Chronicle reported that Harakar was neither at his palace in Moss Vale nor at the Tumak Ordok in Ablesken. Artak had intended to use the release of the report to justify an attack on Ablesken or Oksken in which Harkara could be killed in battle but Harakar's flight out of the Karin Plain prevented that.

On 4-12 19 PC Artak had a secret meeting with Dripap of the Confederated Nations of Niueyjar (CNN) aboard a CNN ship off the coast of Faltir. The pair planned for Driplap to attack Kadar's Rock, where Artak suspected Harakar to be hiding, to force Harakar back to the mainland so that he could be killed by Artak's forces bringing about a Living Election that Artak was confident he would win. In exchange Artak, once the Living King, would negotiate a peace with the CNN. Driplap attacked Kadar's Rock on 16-12, the next day the Weer Chronicle reported that Harakar Oken had returned to Moss Vale following his year-long vacation at an undisclosed location. Artak had his forces and those of his allies begin to converge on Moss Vale. In response, Harakar's allies in the civil war began to converge on Artak's foces. The armies of the Bokok, Oken, Sartak and Skrake engaged the armies of the Arkara, Perat, Banokan and Kakay in the Banokan Kadrike. Harakar left Akaria for eee on 26-12 as part of Operation Rock Storm, on the same day the armies of the Deram and Mikare entered the Banokan Kadrike to aid the Oken. The Arkara-led forces in the Bankokan Kadrike disintegrated into chaos on 28-12 with Harakar's allies beginning a march towards Agrada. The Giga-Yacht exploded killing Harakar Oken thus ending the Akarian Civil War and starting the 44th Living Election.

44th Living Election

Many in the Ossbsoche Assembly veiwed Harakar as an unfit Living King and saw Artak as the obvious replacement. Artak was elected on 11-1 20 PC.

Akarian invovlement in the Eastern Bloc-Niueyjar War

The day after his election as Living King, Artak recalled the Akarian Navy and ordered the Akarian forces in Faltir back to Akaria.

On 23-1 20 PC, Artak ordered the Akarian Scouting Force (ASF) to the Eastern Ocean to find Ahabakar Oken and bring him to Manser claiming that he wanted to meet him. In reality, he intended to turn over Ahabakar to the CNN. The ASF found Ahabakar in Johnakar on 27-1 and departed for Manser, leaving a small force behind to govern the town. When the ASF arrived at Manser on 30-1, men loyal to Artak took Ahabakar and handed him over to the CNN. The next day Targhon Skrake resigned as High Director of the Akarian Scouting Force in protest.

Artak and Svarn Svarndaughter of the CNN signed the 1st Fort Garikoph Agreement on 17-3 20 PC ending Akaria's involvement in the Eastern Bloc-Niueyjar War and the state of war between the two countries. The CNN agreed to withdraw from Akarian territory, recognised Akarian sovereignty over Paradise Island on Harakar's Rock, recognised waters within two nautical and reduced standard tariffs for Akarian goods by 50%. Akaria recognised the CNN's sovereignty over Faltir and Amogusolia Island, recognised the CNN's territorial waters as 3 nautical miles off their coast and created a free trade zone in Manser for the CNN. Artak's 2nd Dictate was issued later that day granting CNN citizens the right to conduct "unrestricted trade" in Manser and allocating new funding to the Oceanic Council for expanding and improving the city.

Harakar's death

Two days after his election Artak ordered an investigation into Harakar's death, to clear himself of any involvement. The investigation was conducted by the Weer as Artak and most in Karinia considered them to be politically neutral. On 14-3 the Weer-led investigation concluded that the explosion which killed Harakar and destroyed the Giga-Yacht was an accident.

Artak's 1st Dictate

Artak issued his 1st Dictate on 16-1. The dictate nullified Harakar's 13th Dictate – which had removed all hunting restrictions on the red spine eater and put a bounty of 5 grams of copper on each red spine eater – and ordered all properties with red spine eater breeding facilities to be put under the control of the Kakay. The dictate was seen as a symbolic move, to represent Artak's intention to undo the harm that Harakar had caused. Though Harakar's 13th Dictate had still been in effect few osslettes offered a reward for red spine eaters brought in and few breeding facilities still existed.

Filling the Akarian government with Arkara

On 8-4 20 PC Artak made his cousin Cherkaz Arkara the High Director of the Akarian Scouting Force on to replace Targhon. Artak gave more power to Cherkaz on 2-10 23 PC when he issued his 12th Dictate granting the High Director of the Akarian Scouting Force the right to sign treaties on behalf of the Living King.

Artak Arkara removed Kuzakar Oken as the High Director of the Akarian Trade Fleet on 16-5 20 PC, claiming that Kuzakar was too busy with his duties as the Leader of the Oken to handle leading the trade fleet. He was replaced with Artak's son Koyok Arkara. The new high director was ordered to "find out exactly what the Akarian Trade Fleet does". On 30-5 an internal investigation found that the Akarian Trade Fleet's primary function was to provide the Oken with free shipping for their enterprises at the national government's expense.

Relations with Okrit

Artak issued his 5th Dictate on 23-9 20 TT, establishing the Akaria-Okrit Improvement Council (AOIC) to manage the aid given to Okrit. The government of Aakar Orit granted the AOIC a two-story building in Nkrama's central sector on 28-10, to be staffed with Okrit's first Akarian-trained soldiers to protect, escort, and monitor the council's staff.

Artak's 6th Dictate

Artak issued his 6th Dictate on 2-11 20 PC establishing the Osslette of Essalia over Harakar's Rock Paradise Island. The Dictate also recognised the two islands as part of the Perat Kadrike, despite Akaria not controlling Paradise Island. Lightning Perat was selected to serve as the first Ossbosche of Essalia as he had openly opposed the Arkara and their friendship with the Perat and would be less trouble to Artak in the Eastern Ocean.

Creation of the Arkara–Banokan–Kakay–Perat Alliance

Artak met with the Leader of the Perat, Eltok Perat, Leader of the Banokan, Kobartan Banokan and Leader of the Kakay, Tokoat Kakay on 21-10 21 PC and signed a document officialising an alliance between their four Kadrikes.

Port Deram Dispute

The Deram leased a plot of land to the the Caseic Federation on 6-7 22 PC for 20 years on the condition that they construct a port which the Deram could use to export mined resources. The deal was made between acting Federal Foreign Minister Chuwe Brifam and Leader of the Deram, Ara Deram. Artak Arkara was not consulted before the deal, straining Akaria-Caseic Federation relations. On 27-8 23 PC as Ara established the title of High Director of Deram-Casea Affairs and appointed Boirok Deram to the post. In response, Artak declared Boirok to be an Aide to the Spirits and requested that all ossbosches cooperate to bring about his arrest.

The CFF Wesia finished surveying the leased Deram land on 14-9 23 PC and approved the construction of a port on its coast. In response, Artak sent the CNN a sukazandassaz tree to persuade them against using the new port.

Artak issued his 13th Dictate on 2-2 24 PC, banning ships from the Caseic Federation from docking in Akaria and barring people from the Caseic Federation from doing business in Akaria.

Akarian Exploration Department

Artak created the Akarian Exploration Department (AED) on 1-8 22 PC, through his 8th Dictate. The AED was granted the right to sign treaties on behalf of the Living King. Ten days later the AED purchased several plots of land in Haute eee and began hiring eeeans to aid in their exploratory mining.

Artak's 9th Dictate

Artak issued his 9th Dictate on 2-2 23 PC establishing the osslettes of Azzun, Dire, Balmok and Monor in Utlia.

Dakar Dispute

The son of late Living King and Leader of the Oken Harakar Oken, Dakar Oken announced over the radio, on 1-1 22 PC that Kuzakar Oken's election as the Leader of the Oken was illegitimate and announced the beginning of an "operation" to have the Oken Kadrike placed under his control. Moments later men loyal to Dakar carried out multiple attacks across the Oken Kadrike, an attack in the Sartak Kadrike and an attack in Niueyjar on Dakar's orders, starting Dakar's Uprising. The attack in Niueyjar freed the former High Director of the East Oken Company, Ahabakar Oken, from the Clan Osteg Prison Complex, who returned to the Eastern Ocean. Ahabakar and his forces attacked Paradise Island on 30-3. High Director of Paradise Island, Trikot Perat surrendered shortly after the attack and was promptly executed. The uprising ended on 17-1 23 PC when Kuzakar and his allies captured Dakar and the remainder of the Greater Oksken Area.

The Perat requested the Oken hand over Dakar Oken for trial over the death of Trikot Perat on 27-1 23 PC. Kuzakar declined the request citing the need to first try him in the Oken Court starting the Dakar Dispute. Eltok formally requested Artak's intervention in getting the Oken to hand over Dakar to the Perat on 19-2. On the same day Kuzakar formally requested Artak not to intervene in the dispute.

Artak did not side with either party directly and instead began "Brown walking" in an attempt to ask the Kings in Brown for advice on what to do regarding the Dakar Dispute. Artak had done this without telling anyone and the Living Press first reported that he had done this on 1-3. Artak awoke from his coma on 10-3 and the next day announced that the Kings in Brown advised him to declare Dakar Oken an "Aide to the Spirits" –a term first used in this announcement by Artak– and to execute him before all the Kadrike leaders and ossbosches of Akaria and lands beyond. Following the announcement Artak issued his 10th Dictate. The Dictate defined what an Aide to the Spirits was, granted the Living King the right to brand someone an Aide to the Spirits, allowed the Living King to personally execute an Aide to the Spirits if the Council of Akaria is summoned before him and are given sufficient time to arrive and allowed the Living King to summon the Council of Akaria for an execution. After the Dictate was issued Artak branded Dakar Oken an Aide to the Spirits and summoned the Council of Akaria to Ablesken for his execution, which was done on 8-4, ending the Dakar Dispute.

Dream journal

On 9-4 23 PC Artak found Harakar Oken's dream journal

Empowering the ASF

On 13-1 23 PC the Akarian Scouting Force (ASF) returned to Akaria with six YDF ships. The ships had gone rogue whilst transporting copper to Akaria and Leader of the YDF Psaha Yol had secretly allowed Akaria to capture them. After their capture, Akaria was left with a large number of Nongban prisoners with no way to try them. Artak issued his 11th Dictate on 8-6 23 PC to address this issue. The dictate granted the ASF the ability to try people detained by them for violations of living law and granted them the ability to establish prisons in the Eastern Ocean on unclaimed islets. At the same time, the Nongban Constitution was amended to disallow citizens from releasing any prisoners kept in foreign nations.
