In 81 PC, after witnessing a CieLeague match between the national teams of Utlia and La Rossa, Grand Magister T'tathos Mhodir proposed the creation of a Cyals stadium in Vir Atlii. Cyals had become popular in the city over the decade prior after Utlian immigrants introduced it to the area. The city Maasyl accepted Mhodir's proposal, and funding for the stadium was provided by Grand Magister Piqo Thipoqo. The arena was named Thipoqo Stadium in his honor.
In late 81 PC, Eyht of Utlia Reto Heyel visited the site of Thipoqo Stadium on a trip to Vir Atlii. During the visit he remarked, "What a beautiful place we have built together, T'vaqi is a wonderful state we can learn so much from in so many ways."
In 83 PC, the nearly-complete stadium had its turf seeded. A celebratory game was played on the field between To Qima and members of the stadium's construction crew, with several other workers and onlookers spectating. To Qima won the match comfortably, though at many points the game was treated as a spectacle, with both teams working together to perform elaborate stunts with the ball. Locals expressed excitement for the completion of the stadium.
Thipoqo Stadium was completed in early 84 PC. It hosted its first official CieLeague game soon after. The match was between To Qima and Utlia's Mercyen Ahren; the latter team won the match after coming back from an early deficit. The stadium was filled nearly to capacity, and Piqo Thipoqo himself was in attendance.
