History
Oken-Sartak deal
On 12-2 50 TT the Oken and the Sartak came to an agreement in which the Sartak agreed to make further deals with the Oken in which control of properties in the Sartak Kadrike could be given to the Oken. In exchange, the Leader of the Oken, Arakar Oken's grandson Kazant Oken married Leader of the Sartak, Frachoi Sartak's daughter Huloi Sartak and promised that a son produced from this marriage would go on to lead the Oken after Arakar's successor's successor and that all offspring from the marriage would be educated in the Sartak Kadrike. At the time the deal was made the Oken was an elective Kadrike, as Arakar made no changes to Oken law to try to put Kazant's offspring at an advantage it has been assumed that she had no intention of going through on this part of the deal. Frachoi and Kazant's children were educated in the Sartak Kadrike but in an Oken-run school.
Arakar's successor's successor, Kazant Oken died on 24-8 29 TT triggering the 4th Oken Election. One of Kazant and Frachoi's children, Kuzakar Oken was seen as a contender for Leader of the Oken. On 4-9 29 TT Kuzakar announced that he was not looking to succeed his father. The election concluded on 24-10 29 TT with Johnakar Oken elected Leader of the Oken.
Leader of the Sartak, Achalui Sartak was outraged by Johnakar's election and took his complaint up with Living King, Hotok Kakay requesting some form of intervention against Johnakar. Hotok, however, argued that as the Oken used an elective system to select their leaders it had not been Arakar's place to make a deal relating to Oken succession and that the Sartak could not have made a deal with her to change that.
Following Hotok's rejection the Sartak began a policy of attempting to force the Oken out of the Sartak Kadrike through legal means.
Oken-Sartak War
On 12-3 18 PC The Arkara released a document containing evidence that Johnakar Oken had ordered the deaths of several notable figures across the Attu Archipelago. Living King and Leader of the Oken, Harakar Oken faced extreme backlash for the actions of his late father. Shortly after Harakar fled the Karin Plain for Kadar's Rock. This was all whilst the Arkara and Deram fought each other in the Akarian Civil War. Leader of the Sartak, Hochor Sartak decided that with all the unrest in Akaria then would be a good time to exact revenge against the Oken and on 29-3 the Sartak Army entered the Oken Kadrike starting the Oken-Sartak War.
The Sartak and Oken armies engaged each other at the Battle of Oksken on 4-4. The battle concluded on 23-7 when the Sartak Army disintegrated allowing the Oken Army to advance into the Sartak Kadrike. The Oken Army was later joined by the Skrake Army and the two armies began surrounding the city of Sratak capital, Sarstai. The two armies assaulted the city on 30-10 and found it undefended. The war ended the next day when the Oken Army captured Hochor Sartak. Whilst imprisoned the Skrake forced Hochor to sign various treaties with themselves and their allies and forced Hochor to make changes to Sartak Law. He was forced to change Sartak succession laws from agnatic primogeniture to appointment and on 5-5 19 PC appointed the pro-Oken Bantoek Sartak as his successor and resigned.
