The Caseic Archipelago is a set of islands in the centre of the Attu Archipelago, located south-east of Niueyjar, south-west of Utlia proper, and north of Seaitian and Wälstanland. It consists of the two large islands of Casea and Brisa, and a number of smaller islands nearby.

Overview

  • Before the Grand Calming, the whole archipelago was united under the Caseic Federation.
  • As of 79 PC, the archipelago is currently divided into five sovereign states:
    • The Caseic Federation, mostly in the south-west, a council-ruled federation of fourteen states. Some of these states are democracies, some are monarchies, and some are ruled by a council.
    • The Greater Nayela Union, in the north, a union of four states which gained independence from the Federation amidst the First Great Attu War in 30 PC, ruled by two monarchs, two presidents, and a coin.
    • The Kingdom of Esiga, in the north-east, which similarly gained independence from the Federation amidst the First Great Attu War, briefly joining the Greater Nayela Union before becoming fully independent in the 40s PC.
    • The Kingdom of Prefichi, in the north-west, which was the earliest to gain independence from the Federation amidst the First Great Attu War in 26 PC. Ruled by an absolute monarch.
    • Brenjia, a province of Greater Utlia since 41 PC, which was formerly a part of the Greater Nayela Union.
    • The Eastern Gemnis States, in the south-east, which broke from the Federation in 64 PC.
    • Capa Framji, an inland republic which broke from the Federation in 64 PC.
  • Casea has a tropical climate; people live in dense cities amidst the jungles.
  • Two main autochthonous religions: Framjism and Gastism. Other common religions include Mirroi, Azztanism, and Modhes. Freedom of religion varies from place to place; large cities, such as Caifra and Brenji, tend to be more religiously tolerant.
