The 1st Ablesken Perikat is a term that reffers to the first four Leaders of the Akarinian Confederation, Kadar, Aket, Gotiph and Wayok. They are sometimes called the Four Pillars of Marble.
Usage of the term
The term "1st Ablesken Perikat" was first used in A history of the Living Kings by Living King Makaro Arkara, published on 24-8 580 TT. The book also coined the names for the other currently recognised perikats up to and including the 2nd Agrada Perikat.
Living Kings of the 1st Ablesken Perikat
The members of the 1st Ablesken Perikat never used the title Living King with the title only being applied after their deaths.
The 1st "Living King" of the 1st Ablesken Perikat was Kadar (r. 1787–1757 TT) who united the Amarken, Arkaran, Banokan, Bokok, Deram, Kakay and Perat against the Andu Kur and established the Akarinian Confederation on 24-7 1787 TT. Kadar considered his perikat to encompass the seven drikes who had fought against the Andu alongside him.
Aket (r. 1757–1728 TT) was the 2nd "Living King" of the Perikat. Not much us known of his actions with Aket spending most of his time in Agrada.
The 3rd "Living King" of this Perikat was Gotiph (1728–1699 TT). Gotiph led the Akarinian Confederation to victory during the Saekarinian War. During his reign several drikes joined the Confederation, namely the; Dar, Oken, Ikane, Dakon and Skrake.
Wayok (1699–1680 TT), the 4th "Living King" of Ablesken, led Akaria during the disastrous Akarinian-Weer War. During the war Wayok was captured by the Weer and forced to sign several crippling treaties with the Weer. He died on 3-8 1680 TT, shortly after being released.
Akaria at the time
During this period Akaria was a decentlised confederation of drikes, with no real form of central goverment beyond the "Leader of the Akarinian Confederation". This leader lacked any formal power as the confederation lacked any sort of legal code or documents binding it together, existing solely oral agreements made by the leaders of the various drikes that made up the Confederation. Gotiph established Ablesken on 1727 TT to serve as a sort of capital for the Confederation, though this was mostly just a spot for the drikes to meet as Gotiph was still based out of Agrada.
The authority of the "Living Kings" of this perikat was in part derived from the vast stores of gold and copper Kadar had found in Kanda, which he and his three successors used to help convince the other drikes to aid them and to greatly expand the size of the wariors who personally served them.
