• 1-1 CODCNN held a mandatory new years council wide party with a theme of Dwarvern fasion where La Rossa - eee fusion cuisine was served.
• The Republic of La Rossa held elections for its Dux. The incumbent Leo Minestrici won with 67.43% of the vote, owing to popular confidence in his program of encouraging the island's role in international trade.
• Utlian Provisional Government announced that Ire Liamia and COUR won the internal election, beating the Utlian Military command by 1 vote, the Central Bank being the deciding vote. Utlian Provisional Government was dissolved. Ire Liamia chose Lodwyn Elsteay as his Lt. President.
• During string day celebrations Living King Ara Deram issued his 3rd, 4th and 5th Dictates. The 3rd expanded the Deram Kadrike a ways into the Andu Lands, the 4th created the osslettes of Daredone and Okorka in the Thessda Range and the 5th provided funding to extend the Andu Wall north to the creatively named North Andu Wall.

• Ire Liamia of Utlia signed deal with Akaria, Faltir finalizing the transfer of the Akuta military base in Arzyt-Ut to full Utlian control whilst recognizing the rest of the Akuta bases throughout the archipelagos are Akuta pact bases and not under Utlian control.

• After failure of the TLP to respond to pirate ransom, the Qoeul-bo proceeded inland.

The cultural nations of Eut, Frish, Mersen, Brenjia, and Tinlea would each send members to the lower cabinet parliament. Liaia also got a cultural nation but they didnt get seats in the lower cabinet, as they had their own lower cabinet. the East Ocean Companies were given a cultural nation but no seats in any lower cabinet.
• A group of youths in Oôel Ghegg were caught attempting to vandalize The Wall Upon Which The Word Was Written with a Sasatanl'c phrase. The stated punishment for such an act was a drawing and quintering, but the trial attracted much controversy for two reasons: the vandals all were teenagers, and one of them was a La Rossan citizen.
• The YBS Sarrhu returned from the eastern ocean ahead of schedule, with a half dozen Kelelemites, rescued from a shipwreck on the island of Mul Mag.

• After years of tense standoff between the West Casea Coal Union and Federal Authorities, the Federal Council has authorised the use of the Caseic Military to remove the guards stationed at the Wesia coal mines.
  • In the ensuing conflict, one guard was grazed by a shot from a Federal rifle. None of the Federal forces were hit. Many on both sides were injured.
• Deysachin offered to take the coal off of Casea's hands, settling the debate and bringing peace to the region.

• During a weekly radio address to the nation, the Dux took a step back from stories of the nation's newfound prosperity to wish for the safe return of a Rossan citizen recently arrested abroad. • The trial concluded and the youths were given a lenient sentince, being imprisoned in Se Jwb for an indeterminate period instead of being executed. The teen from La Rossa however was instead exhiled back to his birthplace. Outcry came from the public, over that the sentinces were too harsh, that the sentinces were too lenient, and that its unfair the la rossan got off scott free.
• The Dux of La Rossa extended a formal declaration of gratitude to Deysachin, and stated he hopes that further such cooperation continues in the following years. An official decree prohibits the Rossan teen from leaving the country for a period of 20 years.

In addition to a regular salary, applicant professors were granted subscriptions to island newspapers of their choice, when available.
• After much squabbling with Deysachin, the MPLMoN re-opened their side of Very Long Bridge.
• The TLP managed to scrape together a payment for the pirate ransom, mostly from the Gansu half. The pirates receded from Ronatana back to the seas, gathering primarily in the west. The population of Ronatana had dropped dramatically, due to wide scale exodus to the mainland TLP territory.
• FFM Jercofa Yechac condemned the involvement of the military in the West Casea Coal Union stand-off.

• Chuckster Lagrange published an in depth, 700 page analysis of The Apostolic Dialogues. Thuybnor Dagnon, in the very same week, published a 500 page Analysis of The Book Of The War. Lagrange's work was seen as a masterful work but on an overdone subject, whilst Dagnon's a fresh, if highly rocky, study of a lesser viewed work.
