Utlian Folklore encompasses the folk tradition of the unified island of Utlia, though it is often used when describing specific Eutan or Frish cultural traditions.
Myths, legends, stories
The Kelna Vanguard is a mythological character from the story of the same name written by Leyet Merien in 1973 TT. He is said to have been a Eutan citizen beheaded by Tela, in the story he is revived by Wycalt to spread fear to the Tela people. He is described as having his head replaced by a maroon tinted flame.
Creatures
Eutan origin
- Mertete are short, pale creatures with thin, long fingers said to eat wood and commonly steal items made of timber from North Utlian homes.
- Urscalt is a three headed Urla living in western Utlia, known for his prejudice and violence against Tela people.
Frish origin
- Nert are amphibians resembling horned frogs, they are said to have very long tails for catching insects to eat, and no horns.
Merriyem origin
- Unlauob, a flesh eating blob said to roam around the coast of Merriyem lands. A creature of Merriyem tradition first wrote about by Utlian Vyren Kiyrn.
- Obyiste is said to be an orb that appears to you if you are about to die in Mersen territory.
Unification origin
- Yresnet are sentient mushrooms native to the bogs of Direnomut, they are said to lure and trick passerby into lightly harming themselves.
