Akaria-Yotumic Divisionary Federation relations
Akaria–Yotumic Divisionary Federation relations or Akaria-YDF relations are the bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Akaria and the Yotumic Divisionary Federation (YDF).
History of relations
Akaria and the YDF agreed to establish an embassy in Nongba on 8-7 8 PC, following the collapse of Niueyjara-Nongba relations amid the Tun'ilhameng Crisis but were unable to staff the embassy due to the ongoing Blockade of Nongba. The Akarian Ambassador to the Yotumic Divisionary Federation arrived at Nongba on 23-2 9 PC.
A deal was made in secret between the YDF and Akaria on 23-4 9 PC. Akaria agreed to sell the YDF Akarian and Utlian-grown grain to try to alleviate the ongoing food shortage in Nongba, in exchange the YDF would give them copper. The grain was delivered via the use of stealth prawns who bypassed the blockade by going under it. They then deployed buoyant containers full of grain that washed up on shore. For every container received, the YDF put aside a sum of copper to be given as payment once the blockade was resolved.
On 27-4 16 PC the YDF passed legislation making it so that any vessel not registered with the Yotumic Divisionary Federation Defense Force (YDFDF) in their territorial waters would be shot on sight. On the same day the Kingdom of Akaria implicitly recognised the YDF's territorial waters when High Director of the Akarian Navy, Akrake Oken ordered his forces not to enter them. The Akarian Trade Fleet did the same three days later.
On 4-11 the Kingdom of Akaria sent 22,666 and a third red spine eater carcasses to the YDF for 340 kilograms of copper and two new Nongban assault rifles.
On 12-3 18 PC the Arkara, under the leadership of Artak Arkara released a document containing evidence that Living King, Harakar Oken's father Johnakar Oken had ordered the deaths of several notable figures across the Attu Archipelago including YDF Leader, Psaha Yol's personal friend and Vidar Astridson. Without the backing of congress Psaha Yol, released a statement condemning the "Akarian assassination of Vidar Astridson".
Akarian Ambassador to the Yotumic Divisionary Federation, Anarka Oken was recalled from Nongba on 20-5 18 PC, amid improving Niueyjar-Yotumic Divisionary Federation relations and worsening Akaria-Niueyjar relations.
Diplomats from the CNN, TLP, YDF and the Kingdom of Akaria met on Dwarf Island on 15-5 21 PC to discuss the return of the Faltirans. No agreement was made with the YDF.
On 23-11 22 PC, the YDF secretly sent the copper they secretly owed Akaria to Akaria, but lost radio contact with the ships and decommissioned the six ships, revoked the citizenship of their crews and sent Akaria their coordinates. The Akarian Scouting Force (ASF) was sent to collect the ships and was seen off the coast of the Glanes Confederation on 11-1 23 PC. They were sighted again on 13-1 with six Nongban made ships in tow. After their return to Akaria, Akaria was left with a large number of Nongban prisoners with no way to try them. Artak's 11th Dictate was issued on 8-6 23 PC to adress this issue, granting the ATF the ability to try people detained by them for violations of living law and the ability to establish prisons in the Eastern Ocean on unclaimed islets. At the same time the Nongban Constitution was amended to disallow citizens from releasing any prisoners kept in foreign nations.
The Kingdom of Akaria reiterated their support of the YDF's territorial integrity on 15-7 23 PC. Psaha Yol publicly thanked Akaria for supporting the YDF's territorial claims during a press meeting the next day.
