Dakon

The Dakon are a Kadrike of Akaria.

History

Saekarinian Confederation

On 2-8 1740 TT the Bojin, Dakon, Ikane, Skrake and Uvak formed the Saekarinian Confederation to oppose the Akarinian Confederation, who they saw as ideologicaly opposed to the tradditional Karianian faith. On 7-2 1720 TT, the Saekarinians, attacked the Kakay, who were a part of the Akarinian Confederation, starting the Saekarinian War. On 16-8 1720 TT, Leader of the Akarinian Confederation, Gotiph, declared that any member groups of the Saekarinian Confederation who embraced Mirroi were welcome to join the Akarinian Confederation. The Dakon took up the offer on 4-10 1720 TT. The war was won by the Akarinian Confederation.

Bojin-Dakon Border Crisis

Around 1150 TT, demand for sukazandassaz fruit in the Weer Kadrike skyrocketed. The Bojin Kadrike, which had vast orchards of sukazandassaz, soon began exporting large amounts of the fruit to the Weer. The primary road connecting Gaviskar to the Weer Kadrike passed through the Dakon Kadrike. On 4-12, 1148 TT, the Dakon put a transit fee on any trader moving through their land transporting sukazandassaz fruit. The Bojin responded to this on 16-12 1148 TT by putting a ten percent tax on all goods and services purchased by members of the Dakon. Four days later, the Dakon closed their border with the Bojin.

Liing King Targhan Skrake met with Chokdai, Leader of the Bojin, on 3-8 1138 TT to discuss forcing the border open to bring an end to the crisis. Instead of forcing the border open Targhan proposed the creation of a new road between Gaviskar and Saeskar. By the end of the meeting, it was agreed that the Bojin and the Skrake would cofinance the creation of the new Gaviskar-Saeskar Highway and that Targhan would use his powers as Living King to keep the road open. The road was declared complete on 16-11 1136 TT, quietly ending the dispute.

Rise of the Arkara

On 29-7 922 TT the Ossbosche of Agrada, Katoi Jakor inherited a small goyalal orchard in the Dakon Kadrike. A rumour began circulating that the orchard had been given to him by Geikut Dakon, Leader of the Dakon as a bribe. On 21-10 922 TT Living King Arkuph Deram – in his capacity as Leader of the Deram – removed Jokor from his position as Ossbosche of Agrada. On 1-1 920 TT Katoi Jakor announced to several bosches he had known as an ossbosche, that during his time as an ossbosche, he had pieced together the descendants of Wayok's son Ukat and that he was among those descendants. He declared the return of the Arkara and his own status as Leader of the Arkara. The Dakon, along with the Kakay, Ikane and Skrake became supporters of the Arkara movement.

Living King Odakot Perat issued his 1st Dicate on 19-8 819 TT which recognised that their were only seventeen Kadrikes. Odakot's 2nd Dictate was issued the next day making it illegal to claim to be an Arkara. Arrests of Arkara were soon made across the country. The Dakon, along with other supporters of the Arkara, attempted to prevent the arrest of Arkara in their lands. Living King Yokadar Deram attempted to stop this on 12-5 786 TT by issuing 3rd Dictate which established the Enforcers of Living Law (ELL), a policing organisation who were permitted to enforce living law across all of Akaria. The Dakon aided many of the Arkara with going into hiding.

The Dakon, Kakay, Ikane and Skrake formed the pro-Arkara, 1st Agrada Perikat on 3-2 708 TT with the election of Living King Chormak Skrake.

Ortokat Dakon was elected Living King on 6-10 643 TT.

The 1st Agrada Perikat ended on 18-3 602 TT with the surprise election of Arikarin Deram and the start of the 5th Durantum Perikat.

Able War

The Dakon Army suported Makaro Arkara during the Able War against the Deram. The war was fought from 29-10 594 TT to Arikarin Deram's death on 26-2 591 TT. The members of the 1st Agrada Perikat and the newly recognised Arkara formed 2nd Agrada Perikat on 28-4 591 TT with the election of Makaro Arkara.

2nd Agrada Perikat

Gonchidor Ikane was elected Living King on 24-9 579 TT. He was killed by Bolakh Deram on 25-8 564 TT as revenge for his father, Living King Arikarin Deram whose death had brought an end to the Able War. Gonchidor's successor Ochi Skrake asked the Deram hand over Bolakh Deram to be tried for his crimes. The Leader of the Deram, Fanachar Deram refused to hand Bolakh over claiming that no crime had been committed under Deram Law. In response the armies of the Arkara, Dakon, Ikane, Kakay and Skrake entered and occupied the Deram Kadrike and began massacring members of the Deram and people affiliated with the Deram in what is now known as the Purification of Able.

Oirula Dakon was elected Living King on 10-12 500 TT. On 13-6 467 TT the Oceanic Council anounced that the majority of their iron mines had begun to deplete and were expected to be completely out of iron within the next decade. Oirula issued his 14th Dictate on 17-6 467 TT estalbishing the Weer Range Surveying Organisation (WRSO) to try and find new sources of iron in the Weer Range. They failed to locate any iron. On 11-11 502 TT Leader of the Lakar, Vichatoi Lakar asked Oirula to make an agreement between the Kingdom of Akaria and the Deram, who lived in the iron-rich Thessda Range. Oirula rejected this propsal on the grounds that the ruling 2nd Agrada Perikat was not on good terms with the Deram. Oirula died on 19-7 460 TT triggering the 26th Living Election. During the election the ossboschers loyal to the Banokan, Bokok, Dar and Lakar supported Klaichandoi Lakar as the next Living King. The Arkara's ossbosches who were expected to support the 2nd Agrada Perikat's candidate instead supported Klaichandoi who was formally elected Living King on 16-8 460 TT, ending the 2nd Agrada Perikat.
